Needs checking: real brands rarely do it, scammers imitate it
IBAN and ID asked for before any discussion: check first
A brand asking for your bank details, your card number or your ID before even talking about the offer: caution, that is not the normal order.
What it looks like
Before anything else, please send us your IBAN and a copy of your ID to create your supplier record.
Why it is a sign
An IBAN and an ID are enough to open accounts or divert payments. Fake offers ask for them first, before any content, often with fake cheques or "refunds" to send back.
What a real brand does
A real brand asks for your IBAN when it pays, with your invoice, once the partnership is agreed. It never needs your card number.
What to do
Wait for a written agreement and an invoice to issue. Put your IBAN on the invoice, never a card number. An ID is not asked for in a partnership.
