Needs checking: real brands rarely do it, scammers imitate it
"Connect your channel to see the offer": the most common way to steal a channel
An offer that asks you to sign in with Google, to "verify" or "link" your channel on a partner space often leads to a fake sign-in page that captures your password and your code.
What it looks like
To access the offer details and confirm the channel is yours, sign in with your Google account on our partner space.
Why it is a sign
The fake page looks like Google's. Some even show your real statistics, read publicly, to reassure you. Once the password and the verification code are typed, the channel changes hands within minutes. Whole campaigns work that way, in waves, impersonating well-known brands.
What a real brand does
A real brand sends the offer details without asking you to connect anything. Some campaign platforms ask you to link your channel, but from their own site, which you open yourself by typing its address, never from a link received in an offer. Orbikit will never ask you by e-mail either.
What to do
Sign in to nothing from the message. Type the brand's website address yourself and check that the offer exists. If you typed your password, change it right away, sign out every device and check the channel's permissions.
