What to charge a brand for a mention in your video?
Type the views one of your videos usually gets: Orbikit gives you a range, low and high, from what creators ask (15 to 30 dollars per 1,000 views, rarely less than 150 to 500 dollars per mention). Everything happens in your browser.
What raises the price
- A topic that sells high: finance, software, business. Negotiated deals in finance in the United States close above 50 dollars per 1,000 views.
- An audience mostly in countries where advertising is expensive, such as the United States, according to creators.
- A mention placed at the start of the video, or a longer one.
- Several videos in the same deal: creators discount the unit, never the first one.
- The brand reusing your video, in ads for example: charge it separately, for a set period.
- Exclusivity, no competing brand for a while: charge it separately, for a set period.
- A whole video dedicated to the brand rather than a mention in a video.
- A Short sells for less than a mention in a long video, except on a Shorts channel.
The forms an offer takes
- Flat fee: a fixed sum for the mention, whatever the results.
- Price per 1,000 views: the brand pays by the views counted over a period, often 30 days, sometimes with a cap.
- Guaranteed views: if the video does not reach a number of views, the brand asks for another mention. Ask who counts the views, and over how long.
- Flat fee and commission: a fixed sum, plus a share of the sales made with your code or your link.
- Commission only: only sales pay you. Creators point out that an affiliate link does not pay for a mention.
- Products only: the product you receive is your only payment.
Where these figures come from
Nobody measures what brands really pay on YouTube. Orbikit crossed three kinds of sources, and reads them again every quarter:
- What creators tell each other in their discussion threads of 2025 and 2026: 15 to 30 dollars per 1,000 views, most often 20 to 25.
- The prices creators list on marketplaces, next to their views: under a few thousand views, a floor per mention of 150 to 500 dollars, whatever the number of views.
- Creators' rate cards that list several formats: with the same creator, a dedicated video is worth 2 to 3 times a mention, a Short 0.4 to 0.6 times, and the unit in a bundle 0.75 to 0.9 times.
- The few reports built on real bookings: the price paid there is lower than the price asked, by about a fifth.
- Nobody measures the French market: the figures published in euros are estimates or media values, not rates. Hence dollars, and wide bounds.

Questions
Why a floor price?
Because a mention takes the same work whatever the audience: writing, filming, editing, answering the brand. On marketplaces, creators with a few hundred views per video list 150 to 500 dollars per mention, not a few dollars. Under 10,000 views, the floor is what counts.
Why in dollars?
Because the only numerous and dated benchmarks are American. A French brand may pay differently, and no study measures what it pays. Keep the range as an order of magnitude, and ask around.
Does Orbikit read my views on YouTube?
No. You type the figure, it is worked out in your browser, nothing is sent. With an account, Orbikit tracks your channel every day, but the range still rests on the figure you write: YouTube's rules do not yet allow it to be computed from your figures.
Does my topic change the price?
Yes, a lot. Finance, software and business often sell at 30 to 80 dollars per 1,000 views, sometimes more; gaming, entertainment and music rather at 8 to 20. Change the rate under the field to see.
