Needs checking: real brands rarely do it, scammers imitate it

"Dear Creator": a message that does not name you

A message that opens with "Dear Creator" or "Hello YouTuber", with neither your name nor one of your videos, is sent to thousands of channels. Real brands choose whom they write to.

What it looks like

Dear Creator, our company is looking for motivated YouTubers to promote its products. Reply to receive the terms.

Why it is a sign

Fake offer campaigns go out by the hundreds of thousands, to the public addresses of channels. A message with nothing about you is the sign of a bulk sending, whose aim is to find those who will click.

What a real brand does

A real brand names you, mentions a video or your topic, and says why you. A somewhat generic message also comes from hurried agencies: that is why this sign calls for a check, not a refusal.

What to do

Look for what, in the message, is about you. If there is nothing, check the brand and its address before you answer.

Check the message you received

Paste it below: Orbikit looks for this sign and the 17 others, free and without an account.

The one in your inbox, if it is not in the text.

Nothing is saved: the message is read, the result shown, then everything is forgotten. Only the domain name of a site named in it goes to the public registry of its extension, for its creation date.
